LTCC Intensive Course. Introduction to the K-stability of Fano Varieties. 7th and 8th November 2024.

The LTCC is offering an Intensive Course on Introduction to the K-stability of Fano Varieties by Kento Fujita, Leverhulme Visiting Professor, Brunel University London, on 7th and 8th November 2024.

COURSE SUMMARY:

We focus on recent development for the K-stability of Fano varieties. Especially, one of the goal of the lecture is to know and see an idea of the proof of the valuative criterion for the K-stability of log Fano pairs. If we have time left, then we will see the result of Blum-Liu-Xu, which is one of the fundamental result in this area.

PREREQUISITES:

We assume basics of algebraic geometry and singularities relevant to the minimal model program.

Start: Thursday 7th November 2024 from 1pm to 5pm
Finish: Friday 8th November 2024 from 9am to 1pm

Venue: UCL, Department of Mathematics, Room 706, 7th Floor, 25 Gordon Street, London, WC1H 0AY

Participants are asked to register by emailing: office@ltcc.ac.uk
